As temperatures dip, more layers are added-gloves, hats and scarves are the norm for kids tracking off to school. Winter weather can also signal a spike in lice infestations amongst school children. As kids exchange winter apparel, they are also exchanging head lice. Now Lice Clinics of America is offering an alternative to pesticides and lice combs to kill lice and eggs.
Scientists at the University of Utah have created a comb like device that uses dry, warm air to dehydrate and eliminate head lice and their eggs in as little as one hour.
